Information Sent to Us
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Napa Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, the mailbox receives the details in your message and uses them only to respond or handle the request.
Routine Server Information
Our host may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps in ordinary server logs. We review that information in aggregate for site health and broad usage patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
Limited data helps operate the pages, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from these logs.
External Record Portals
Pages link to Napa County and City portals, California services, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside operator sets its own privacy terms and controls what happens after a visitor leaves this domain. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party and are subject to that provider's policy.
Limited Data Recipients
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs to keep the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above when those tools are enabled. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise keep disclosures limited to operating needs.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no user accounts, Napa Residents Directory does not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor.
Children and Minors
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to the contact mailbox, use the Contact page and request deletion.
Your California Privacy Rights
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following sections. Depending on the circumstances, it provides rights to know, access, correct, delete, limit sensitive-data use, opt out of sale or sharing, and receive equal treatment. Napa Residents Directory keeps very little, so a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Government records held by California, Napa County, or the City of Napa are outside this site's control. A request to remove or correct a public record must go to the custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, governs access to covered public records; it does not turn this private reference into the custodian.
